We recommend having your finances in order before you start training.  You'll have fewer distractions and stressors while you are learning, and there's nothing worse than having to stop and re-start your training due to financial constraints - you'll lose valuable skills and it will end up costing you more money in the long run!

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

The Pikes Peak Workforce Center connects vital businesses and residents of El Paso and Teller Counties with career transition, whether they are employed, unemployed, or underemployed. Their clients range from military veterans, entry-level employees, skilled professionals, youth, adults, people returning to the workforce, and those with barriers to employment. They provide job search and training opportunities for in-demand occupations.  Arapahoe Flight Club is currently set up as a training provider within their system.

The Pikes Peak Work Force Center also administers the U.S. Department of Labor’s Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), for El Paso and Teller counties. WIOA is not for veterans only, but veterans are entitled to priority of service. Your first step in learning more about WIOA is to set up an account with Connecting Colorado and/or visit with a PPWFC Career Consultant.
