Rotor Transition Program Training and Requirements

We at Arapahoe Flight club in Colorado Springs offer experienced helicopter pilots rotor transition program training that combines discipline, experience, and commitment to make you a well-rounded and valuable pilot. Our list of rotor transition requirements states you must have a commercial or private pilot certificate in the Rotorcraft–Helicopter category and accumulate hours of solo flying to take the course.

Rotor Transition Program

Our training starts with converting your current existing licenses from rotorcraft to fixed-wing; the program allows you to gain your fixed-wing private pilot license, alongside instrument rating, to our standardized requirements before moving forward into commercial multi-engine certification. Each RTP candidate is assigned a mentor to move them forward to becoming a commercial aviation pilot.
